That’s it, the holidays are booked, but how do you get to Nice? There are several possibilities:

By plane: Nice airport is only 7km from Nice city centre. For further information please click on https://www.nice.aeroport.fr/en

The tram L2 leaves from terminal 2 passing terminal 1 and arrives between 20 and 25 minutes later at the city centre and the port. The 4 stops in the city centre (Alsace Lorraine, Jean Médecin, Durandy, Garibaldi-Le Château) are underground. The terminus is located at Port Lympia.

The red and electric bus n°12 passes the airport at the Promenade des Anglais, which is a 5-minute walk from terminal 1. It serves several stops on the Promenade des Anglais and stops about 25 minutes later in front of the MAMAC museum near Place Garibaldi and the Old Town of Nice.

A one-way ticket for the tram or bus costs 1.50€. If there are many of you and you are staying in Nice for several days, the “MULTI 10 voyages” ticket at 10€ will be the most profitable.

By train: Many TGV and TER trains arrive daily in Nice, please check the SNCF website https://en.oui.sncf/en/. There are 3 different stations in Nice: Nice-St. Augustin near the airport, Nice-Ville (main station “gare Thiers”) in the city centre and Nice-Riquier near the port.

By bus: The BlaBlaCar buses https://www.blablacar.co.uk/bus arrive at the airport’s Terminal 2 bus station. The Flixbuses https://global.flixbus.com/ stop either at the airport’s Terminal 2 or at the Vauban bus station in Nice.

By carpooling: Please check the website https://www.blablacar.co.uk/carpool for any journey to Nice.

By car: There are 5 exits to access Nice:

  • Nice Promenade (exit n° 50)
  • Nice St Augustin (exit n° 51)
  • Nice St Isidore (exit n° 52)
  • Nice Nord (exit n° 54)
  • Nice Est (exit n° 55)

The expressway is called Voie Mathis and serves the districts of Nice West and the city centre of Nice.

Please note that parking in Nice is very difficult. You can park in one of the Nice car parks https://en.nicetourisme.com/parking or use the “Park + Ride” of the Parcazur car parks https://www.lignesdazur.com/parc-relais.
