And even less!
During your stay in Nice you may buy the “Lignes d’Azur” tickets. There is a vending machine at each tram station (payment by credit card). These tickets are valid for all Lignes d’Azur buses as well as the 3 tram lines. A one-way ticket for the tram or bus costs 1,70€ + 2€ for the plastic card that you can reload during your stay. If there are many of you travelling and you are staying in Nice for several days, you may already load as many trips as you need on the plastic card (the more you buy, the cheaper is the one way trip).
-> Caution: You have to scan the plastic card every time you get on the bus or tram (even for correspondences) and for the number of people you are travelling with, ex: if you are 5 people you have to validaute the ticket 5 times.
If you stay 1 week in Nice it would be better to buy the « Pass 7 jours » available at all tram stations. It costs 15€ each and allows unlimited journeys by bus and tram over 7 consecutive days. You can use these tickets for all destinations operated by Lignes d’Azur buses and trams.
Obviously the bus trips take time but you are not in a hurry during your holidays, are you? You can go to many places by bus departing from the city center of Nice or from the connection points close to the airport. You avoid the exhausting search for a parking space and the parking charges. Meet locals on the bus and think of the environment!
-> Advice: To get on the bus please give a sign to the bus driver, local buses don’t stop automatically!
